The economic situation in Ukraine is dire.

The economy is paralyzed. Banks have frozen all assets. Government pensions for senior citizens have ground to a halt. The cost of food has gone through the roof.

Kosher food is scarce and Passover is coming. Plus, increasing anti-Semitism means Israel Resource Center locations - where kosher meals are served and where children and senior citizens come for Jewish education and activity -require beefed up security.
